"Yes, it certainly does," Marius agrees, appreciative of the irony, and that Rat is the one to initially comment on it. Acknowledging their previous distance from such decadence helps make it that much more appealing. Especially as Marius continues stuffing his face, in a way he never could as a child, even when he did have enough to eat.

He doesn't think about the boxes, or the wisdom behind their presence, caught up as he is in devouring whatever he can reach in front of him.

"Oh," Marius says, flushing and grinning sheepishly as Rat wipes at his mouth. "Thank you. I am rather defeating the point of that earlier bath, aren't I?"
