"Thank you for that vote of confidence," Marius grumbles, finding himself a tad grumpy after nearly falling off his horse. The sort of petulant grumpiness he tries not to indulge in when he can help it, but that always flares up after certain sorts of disappointments. "Oh, I don't know. Possibly me losing a limb or two."
Blessedly, he finds himself calming down as their horses begin a gentle pace towards what looks like some sort of trail in the woods. The fresh air, and airing of his grievances, does Marius good.
He doesn't miss that wink, either.
